Barolo DOCG 2009

Barolo has been called the "king of wines." It is one of the world's best wines and is made from only the very best Nebbiolo grapes, grown near the town of Alba in Italy's Piedmont.

Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo

Origins: The vineyards are located in La Morra and Barolo

Type of Soil: Calcareous

Harvesting Time: Picking manual the first days of October.

Wine Making: Fermentation in steel tank for 10-15 days with temperature carefully controlled 26-28°C.

Ageing: 12 months in barriques and 12 months in oak barrels. 

Colour: Ruby red, intense tending towards burgundy

Nose: Characteristic, intense, harmonious with hints of dry flowers, tobacco.

Taste: Dry, well balance, full delicated, warm full-bodied

Alcohol: 13,5%-14,5% vol.

Food Pairing: Excellend with beef, with white truffle, roasts and game.

Serving termperature: 18-20°C.

Packaging: 0,750 lt x 6 bottles in cardboard box.
